NEW MOON: New banners =)

So I've decided to do something a little different in these banners just playing around with a new technique I've learned doing two tone :) I think they turned out pretty well, im pleased with these banners! I thought I'd some some Jackson, Ashley, Nikki and Kellan banners too seen as im always doing Kristen, Rob and Taylor ones hehe I want to do some Jacob and Bella ones soon, so keep an eye out for them :) Until then, enjoy these, comment if you like!

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: MY REVIEW!!!

OK, I’ve never done a review of a movie before, but Harry Potter is close to my heart. I’ve grown up reading the books since I was a child, and when I was 11 years old I saw the first Harry Potter movie at the cinema with my family. I grew up watching the stars in the movies, watching them grow into young adults just like me. Plus, I’m a HUGE Harry Potter fan of the films and books so I couldn’t resist going to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince the day it came out in the cinema! It was a must see for me!

To make this movie special, a memory that shall forever be imprinted into my head. Me and my friend Carrie-Ann went to see this movie at an IMAX cinema. Let me tell you this now, it was the first time I’ve ever been to an IMAX cinema and it shall certainly be an experience I will never forget. I went to this cinema, with the impression that the screen was going to be twice as big as a normal cinema screen at your local cinema house. How mistaken I was… this screen was about 4 times the size, it was massive! It really made the experience 10 times more enjoyable… ok, to get this IMAX talk out of the way…

I advise everyone to go to see a film in IMAX at least once in your life! Especially in 3D like Harry Potter was!

OK, now to the juicy part… WARNING SPOILERS!!!

The start of this movie was really interesting; it was a different beginning just like Harry Potter and the Order of Pheonix. It started off with Dumbledore and Harry in the media the night that Voldemort was officially revealed to have come back. I really did love how it got right to the point quickly… The death eaters took over pretty quick too, I felt the story wasn’t dragging at all; it just got right to the point in a very action packed way. The graphics when the Millennium Bridge was destroyed was absolutely amazing. They have certainly outdone themselves with this film and you can really tell how far technology has come along since the very first one.

They picked out all the vital parts from the book to put in this movie. Those who are die-hard fans who will be watching it and comparing it to the book, well you won’t be too disappointed I don’t think…

THINGS THAT WERE MISSING:

Moaning Myrtle had no part in this movie sadly, I was really looking forwards to maybe seeing her talk to Draco about his struggles and things, but it wasn't a necessary to be added in. They did however have the fight scene with Draco and Harry in it, which was really good and quite intense. Harry used the Sectumsempra curse, it wasn’t a gory scene it was tastefully done so you didn’t cringe away, the cuts were covered and the scene was well done!

The memories… when Dumbledore and Harry take a trip down memory lane, looking back at Tom Riddles past, most of them were in this movie. The orphanage memory was added in, as seen in the trailer. The memory with Slughorn and teenage Tom was essential to the plot line and to set up Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows with the Horcruxes. The memories that were missing:

Was the Godric Hollow memory with Toms mother and her father… I can see why they did miss it out, seen as Dumbledore had already gotten the ring; it wasn’t really needed to see how he got it. Ha, so I really wasn’t too disappointed with that, although I would have liked to have seen it and did expect to.

When Tom goes to visit Hepzibah Smith who collects antiques of great value. I expected this memory to be added into the film seen as this really was a nessasary... how is Harry supposed to know about the Slytherine crest necklace or the Hufflepuff cup? hmmm, i dont know how they are going to work around that in the next movie.

Also the memory when Dumbledore goes to see Dumbledore about a job at Hogwarts...that wasnt added in. It was also another scene that could have done with being added in seen as that is where one of the Horcruxes is hidden... again, how they are going to work around this, i dont know yet. But i cant wait to see how they do!

And finally, the biggest disappointment and one that could have ruined the film for me, if it wasn’t for the rest of the movie, which was really, really good, was that Dumbledore’s funeral wasn’t in this movie, nor was the big fight scene at the end with the school and the death eaters. The way they worked around this, was Dumbledore was killed at the top of the tower by Snape, like in the book, and then he fell from the tower (which really broke my heart to see him falling, it was a scene most people will probably cry at, more than once seeing it), then Harry ran after the death eaters and Snape, they set Hagrids hut on fire (like in the book) and Harry and Snape had their moment where the Half-Blood Prince was revealed then they disappeared. It was really quickly done, but it was done in a good way where you wanted to cry throughout the whole thing. After this big scene, they went straight to Dumbledore’s body on the ground where everyone started to cry… it was just like when Cedric was brought home, such a tearful scene. I did shed a few tears during this scene, it was just heartbreaking to see Dumbledore’s frail body on the floor and then see his Phenoix fly over the top of him… it was brilliantly done! But I would have liked to have seen his funeral, I thought he deserved that.

Apart from those, I can’t really think of anything else major that was left out.

OK, now to the good stuff! THE NEWBIES!

Lavender Brown! She was BRILLIANT in this movie; she certainly brought on a round of laughter from the viewers. She had us all laughing in nearly every scene she was in… it was exactly like the book, she played her perfectly! Over the top with her acting but fit her character well. She clung onto Ron, snogged him at every opportunity, called him Won-Won and was just basically your classic Lavender in which you envisioned her to be! She was brilliant, no disappointment with her. My favourite scene with her was the after the break-up scene with Ron, she started to practically dig her knife into the table, in the dinning hall and stared at Ron constantly throughout this entire scene, she was crying too and just couldn’t take her eyes off of him… this scene was particularly funny, the trio really did make me laugh. Especially seen as Ron didn’t know how he broke up with her, it was classic!

Cormac Mclaggen, the boy who goes up against Ron to be the new beater for the Quidditch team, he was hilarious as he had the hots for Hermione, he too brought on a round of laughter in nearly every scene he was in. Emma Watson did a fantastic job with her character in this film, this was certainly my favourite film for her. She played jealous Hermione not over the top so you rolled your eyes and thought, why the hell doesn’t Ron see this. She played her so that it was subtle but you knew clearly that she was having feelings for Ron, and this was expressed during a very heart to heart scene with Harry which was one of my favourite scenes. I loved Harry and Hermione’s closeness in this movie. I laughed when Dumbledore thought something was going on between the two of them lol. Back to Mclaggen, he was used in this movie by Hermione just like in the book, when they went to Slugghorn’s Christmas party. A very enjoyable scene which again was hilarious, yet had its serious change of mood at the end. I thought this film was amazing how it could just switch from being this funny film to being deadly serious.

And finally the famous Horrace Slughorn… my favourite newbie in this film. He was just how I envisioned him to be, looks and personality, his character was thought of very well and was played brilliantly. He had some humour in this movie, and some serious parts. My favourite scene had to be the scene where they were in Hagrids hut and Hagrid and him were getting drunk, (this was the scene where Harry took Felix Felicis, which was one of the funniest parts of this movie, Harry looked drunk on luck and it was just funny the way Daniel carried this scene, the whole cinema was in complete fits of laughter) and he told Harry this beautiful story about Harry’s mother Lily, you could really feel that he loved her as a student and he thought highly of her. That scene was perfectly executed and the way Harry got the memory from him was just like the book, but this movie added its own special touch to it, that was wonderful.

Quidditch graphics were even better this movie, the improvements that they continue to make each movie with this game is amazing! I’m sad there will be no more Quidditch in future movies, so enjoy the graphics in this one, they really are awesome!

Overall, this movie was defiantly my favourite movie out of the entire collection so far. Even though there wasn’t as bigger ending as there was in the book, it was kind of in its own way a cliff-hanger, leaving it open for the next film, leading you on a little bit. The ending was beautiful and I really can’t wait to see the next instalment… this next movie is going to be awesome!

One more thing, the Horcrux storyline was set up really good and I’m happy to say, the trio won’t be going back to Hogwarts next year… they will be setting off on an exciting adventure to find the rest and to avenge his parents killers, the death of Lord Voldemort. I really can’t wait for the next movie!

My rating: 10/10

^ But I knew that before I went in lol Not one Harry Potter movie has disappointed me yet.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND: A Tim Burton film - Banners!

Ahhhhhhhhhhh I'm so so so so so so soooooooooooooo excited for Tim Burton's new movie, and when i found out he was remaking Alice and Wonderland i was super happy, with his style stamped all over that already random film... its just going to be awesome!!! Alice and Wonderland was just MADE for Tim Burton to direct and produce into a film one day!!!

haha! I saw this episode advertise on TV and it said "Southpark does Twilight..." And it showed the most hilarious clip of Butters coming through Cartmans window like Edward LMAO I just had to find it and watch it!

On the Sad morning of June 25, 2009 Michael Jackson was discovered collapsed at his rental home in Los Angeles. 911 emergency services responded promptly at 12:21 pm Pacific time arriving at 12:30 pm to find Michael unconscious and not breathing. He was rushed to the UCLA Medical Center and after a brief slip into a coma Michael was pronounced dead at 2:26pm; the cause reported as cardiac arrest. THE Los Angeles Police Department has opened an investigation and an autopsy is scheduled for Friday, June 26, 2009.

Michael lived a very colourful life and during a short 50 years he made an indelible mark on the planet Earth. Whether or not you are a fan there is nobody who can deny his impact and the memory of him which will persist in all of us indefinitely. Spread the word of Michael Jackson's legacy and make sure everyone will always remember.

OK, I've just posted my Joker drawing and here's another. As you can see, I'm a fan of dramatical make-up and big characters. And here's another which is my favourite drawing I've done so far! This is Edward Sciossorhands from the move, Edward Sciossorhands lol A film from one of my all time favourite directors, Tim Burton! Love this guy. I do plan on doing another drawing of Edward Sciossorhands, a full body one in pen. So I'll post that when ive finished it and the progression.

For some strange reason, these photos kept coming out blue and dark. But it adds to the dramatics of the drawings, so i didnt mind.
